Our Board and Management

Larry Lubin, President and CEO

Larry Lubin is a successful Canadian businessman, the founder and one-time President, Chairman and CEO of Fitech, a Canadian software company, now part of CGI. Larry was introduced to business and sales through a family retail business at the age of 12. After completing an MBA, he gained extensive experience in both the financial services and technology sectors. Larry began working on new systems initiatives both on the administration and sales side. After deciding to focus on the integration of technology with business processes, he moved to Toronto and joined Footprint Software and ultimately became part of the management team. Footprint was highly successful and was acquired by IBM Canada. In 1995 Larry began Fitech, which developed many leading applications for Financial Institutions including the Reality Check™ series for Scotia Bank. At Fitech, Larry worked with major companies and pioneered many leading applications still in use today. He developed a unique vision of sales, customer experience and technology. Fitech’s products and success resulted in its acquisition by Ezenet in 2001 which ultimately became part of CGI. Larry left CGI and founded BlueRush in September of 2003. At BlueRush Larry and his team are working on the fusion of marketing and technology to create the ultimate customer experience.

Len Smofsky, Executive Vice President

Len Smofsky graduated from the Ryerson Film Program, and became a freelance director at some of Canada’s top production houses. He formed his own commercial and video production company, Integra Productions, in 1989. Integra won an IRVA award on its very first video for Sears Canada, and never looked back. Based in Montreal, Integra built a client list that included the Government of Canada, The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Bank of Montreal, Merck, CN, Brault & Martineau, Sears Canada and the Canadian Lung Association, among others. One of Len’s successes was the TV campaign to launch Brault & Martineau’s Electronics division. The campaign effectively re-branded Quebec’s largest retailer to a younger demographic, and became one of the province’s best-known line of TV commercials. After working together on a number of projects together, Len and Larry Lubin decided to merge companies, re-launching under the BlueRush name.
