Deployment Tab

The deployment tab allows you to perform 2 major actions. The first is deploying your video to the INDIVIDEO cloud. The second is managing the deployment level of your video. Below we will discuss these 2 features.

Deploying your video

The deployment tab allows you send your video to the INDIVIDEO cloud and make it easy to share and deploy on your website.

The first step to the deployment is selecting the language you want to send to the cloud. That can be done using the language drop-down. Once your language is selected, simply press the “Deploy new version” button.

You can not deploy more then one language at a time, so if your video has multiple languages, they will need to be done one after the other.

Viewing your video

Once your version has been deployed, an accordion with the language localization will be available at the bottom of the deployment tab.

Once opened, you will see 3 deployment levels. Beside each deployment level will be a link to its test page. The test page will provide testing and deployment information for each video. Here are the descriptions for each level.

Development Approval Level

This approval level is generated automatically when a video is deployed from AfterEffects. It is used by the creative team to test the multiple versions of the video that are being published during its development phase. Despite that it can be integrated the same way as the other approval levels, it is not intended to be used and deployed on a client site.

Since this approval level is not intended to be used on a production site, its usage will display a DEV watermark in the top-left corner of the IndiVideo Smart-Player frame.

UAT/Staging Approval Level

This approval level is used during the QA phases of the video. It should only be integrated on a Staging/Pre-Production site. The video associated with this approval level can change multiple times through the client feedbacks rounds. Changing the video associated with this approval level will not required any changes on the site it is integrated with.

Since this approval level is not intended to be used on a production site, its usage will display an UAT watermark in the top-left corner of the IndiVideo Smart-Player frame.

 Production Approval Level

This approval level is intended to be used on a production site. It will always deliver the final and approved version of a video.

Managing deployment levels

Under the 3 deployment levels will be a list of versioned videos. Each of these videos will have a button for DEV, UAT and PROD. The latest video you deployed will always be set to Dev. For any version, you can click the DEV, UAT of PROD button. You can set a previous version to DEV if required. A version can also have the 3 levels applied to it.

Once you click on a new level, you will be prompted to confirm the deployment. Once confirmed, the deployment is done. You will then have an updated testing page with the new content available on it.
