A BIG BANK GETS GAME.

CIBC wanted to break the mould, and become the first big Canadian bank to use social gaming as a promotional tool, spurring clients to applying for its travel rewards credit card, the CIBC Aventura® Visa.

THE SOLUTION


Percy's BIG Adventure!, an online gaming concept created and executed by BLUERUSH to break the mould of the traditional credit card application process. CIBC wanted a game; BLUERUSH envisioned how it could play out, infused the game with strategy and executed it with a brilliant customer experience.

TARGETED SOCIAL CAMPAIGN

The campaign launched via social and targeted millennials. Selected CIBC and Run for the Cure followers on Twitter and Facebook were invited to play and encouraged to share their results.

GAME DESIGN THAT PLAYS WELL

Simple, side-scrolling UX made the game easy for anyone to play. Inviting illustration and intro animation meshed with CIBC branding, featuring Percy the Penguin flying, dodging obstacles and collecting points.

PLAYING TO WIN CLIENTS

Game-players earned points that could be redeemed for Aventura® points. A standout call-to-action at the game's end urged them to keep their points by applying now for the credit card.

A HIGH-FLYING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

A strategic package delivered on a tight time-line included everything to make the game soar: animated intro, high-score registration page and strong call-to-action, adding up to one awesome customer experience.
